PORT OF PLYMOUTH REGATTA TAKES ANOTHER EXCITING STEP FORWARD FOR 2010

The 2010 Port of Plymouth Regatta will see the event take another major step forward in both the quality and scope of the racing on offer. Yachts will be able to enjoy a weekend of top class back to back racing on two courses, one inside, and one outside, the Breakwater under the race management of renowned PRO Mike Pearson (IRO).

In addition, for those who like their sailing rather more gentlemanly, in 2010 we are offering a White Sail Yacht Race (no spinnakers or downwind sails allowed) on both days of the yacht racing weekend of the Regatta.

Interesting developments will also be on offer for the ever growing dinghy fleet which will be once again under the race management of local expert and PRO Dave Curno. The programme for 2010 includes Rookie racing and afternoon training sessions, with the support of OnBoard, with racing on a separate course in the sheltered waters of the Cattewater.

Shoreside events will be based on the Royal Plymouth Corinthian Yacht Club, with a full programme of events throughout the Regatta with live bands on both Saturday nights.
